Billabong Surf Trip iPhone Gameplay Review - AppSpy.com
The following clip is a previous review on YouTube about the Billabong Surf Trip by Andrew of AppSpy.
These are my personal written reviews, for the novice player of simulation games:
I found Billabong Surf Trip quite a tasty simulation surf app! Especially as sweet on the memory download on my Android phone and Acer 100.
At first your brain needs a little time to register co ordination of familiarity by sliding your left thumb around the "Blue" left thumb controller to move your player on the board in any direction.
Your "Blue" left thumb controller is sweet to practice just learning how to surf across (I recommend to start) as far left as you could surf away from the big wave approaching to your board from the right of the screen.
You can take time to learn 'Cutbacks" and other easy tricks by just moving your "Blue" left thumb controller easily, lightly, swiftly, downwards, swinging slightly bottom left, then slightly bottom right, swiftly!
For more complex stunts like "Aerial", while your "Blue" left thumb controller is swinging your player direction upwards the wave, the "Blue" right thumb controller must then swing upwards from the bottom right to the top! This is to be mastered! That is what makes the game fun!
Try to keep a safe distance until you feel ready to surf carefully towards the right direction of the largest rolling wave and pull inside a serious Tube Riding session!
Now once inside the the next sweeeet thing your brain should pick up is how to Tube Ride and
If you feel daring 360s will happen!
Just remember to watch and keep a steady balance on the Bottom screen balance monitor (slightly tilt up or down sideways to maintain Tube Riding session) until you keep a steady eye to surf out left of the wave.
Then you can do more practice on the lower rise of the wave and bust out a few more 360s and Cutbacks!
Don't be discouraged of you blitz out and get drowned out 4 times hard. The energy meter rise from yellow to red could always be risen again and again unless you need energy as you compete for timed sessions (your time will freeze as you bust waves and surf)
If you are one who loves to just work to full tilt no controls options I feel it doesn't do as much justice since there is no camera perspectives from the surfer..yas know? I'm not big on controls either unless I'm flying virtual or can feel the impact. In Surf Trip maybe the impact of hitting a wave or Tube Riding is as feely as it gets, but its also cool the get the surfer moving around on his own with your thumbs without looking like a total idiot in public.
I especially love the option to select swim gear and boards and the country beaches! I love surfing my sweet babe character super surfer Brandy!
Til' me next simulation games review!
