Post September 11 2001 television producer David Angell, and the day Golden TV died

Have you ever seen the Emmy winning sitcom CHEERS, David Angell
was one of the great 20th century television sitcom producers. The day television became reality for me, was when I heard a great television creator was in the the first aircraft. I could not help to stop thinking was he going to LA to pitch a new classic series after Frazier?

How does the radio and television machine recover this "shock and awesome" sucker punch not seen or prepared for since Pearl Harbor. The pride and of course freedom now under direct threat and scrutiny with debates of how with the all the intelligence, news, creative story telling, and media we couldn't see it coming.

I  vividly recall watching in the afternoon a brief heart stopping news flash in 1992. Clinton was in house and I recall seeing a news obtained clip from national sources that a group called Al Qaeda, was preparing for war against America. Demonstrating on old VCR footage, working out on monkey bars, front kicking the air of what appeared to be some large-body, heavy bags, located in what appeared to be like a freakin' plane for simulation exercise. Chanting the now infamous mock of 'demise of the nation". The report was these dudes were not making joke and were training to basically crack open serious wounds to the Western conflict. How come no one took video that seriously, I pondered, but I was 25 and concentrated on my Dawson College video project, food, and girls.
Priorities then like Lewinsky(respectfully) made the news.
In 1999, a thirst for entertainment and humor was necessary to keep the industry going. Jerry Seinfeld's classic sitcom was wrapped in jail. Howard Stern Live was still on the radio. The "Highway" was in strong effect, enough to correspond frequently to your friends via email or chat. Frazier & Friends had just near hit seasons 7 (in the former television season structure, which ran from September to June before syndication kicked in aka "repeats").

The Y2K cyber threat and no apocalyptic events happened on January 1st 2000. The mood at that moment in time was quite like the end of the decadent 1920's. Money wasn't so hard to make on all levels just shy of "recession" recovery. For a moment Babylonian energy.

Aliyah tragedy that summer was very heavy as most couldn't figure how such a loss for a young soul. Most likely the verge of greatness robbed of the re emerging hip hop scene which started to become equally aggressive.

Usher, Brittney, Club Kids and raves were the beginning of a new era of happier times ahead. The nineties sucked with a hyperbole of negativity with economics and race. The Gen X'er's ending their 20's, Boomers well in their early 50's.

Millennial s parents had no idea in their DNA, their kids would turn out different to any previous generation with a whole new spectrum of reality programming, electronic education, cyber being, and political stresses post war 911.
So different it was before September 10 2001, that not pop culture, not one person in Hollywood or New York or anywhere in the free sky knew how they were going to re-write mass media programming and satire for nearly 2 whole weeks. In light of such imprinted imagery to our brains from the box television sets and news media.

Orson Wells, was not calling wolf this time!

It wasn't aliens, nor Godzilla. Superman,............... was........... no............ where................ to be seen.......... ready to suck in all the smoke and with freezing breath blow out the situation and swing around, save at least a good quarter humans for the best make do. No recorded divine intervention like a genie or a witch, wizard, a Holy Grail, or angel, or ghost, and yep a direct great "Deity" like a second coming moment, (that's to say we're extremely lucky it didn't go down with full out nuclear attacks as seen on the "The Day After". Notable mention to meteors, Cuba, and world natural causes.)

Movies, news, history technologically have a "polyamorous" relation with, "Big brother" surveillance and cyber necessities or call it daily living and entertainment. We call it "Big Brother", hence everything Social Networking, Online Education, Servers, Ad Incentives as a good thing. Not actually based on the popular books like 1984 by George Orwell, and Sweden's Expedition Robinson, broadcast programming concept on the psychological theory it's based on .

Radio frequency and plasma of old black and white Desilou productions like Star Trek have been beamed way past the Interstellar realm. Meanwhile back on earth the old ways of post mountain laws are once again broken down like holy tablets.

Ethics unseen since revenge plotted films and civil propaganda in once news print, are just as accessible to create and distribute in cyberverse and influence predicted outcomes. Just like, Its a "Mad Mad Mad Mad World" or "Survivor" or "Big Brother', pick your real hype carefully and be vigilant to stay on the right side of cyberverse propaganda. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_War_of_the_Worlds_(radio_drama)
